Most actors work from a script somebody else wrote. And while I obviously love playing other people more than myself, I also enjoy writing and recording essays about my life.
There's an authenticity when someone tells their own story. Often you're more vulnerable and this adds to the appeal.
We are all storytellers. We all have stories worth sharing with one another. This is how we learn. Listening to someone tell a tale about their life is an honor and a pleasure.
Forget celebrity culture. It's mind-numbingly boring. I never know who those people are because they aren't interesting. Every day people are the ones with something to say. They're the ones with
the ideas and experience to capture my imagination.
